Often times, weekly therapy may not be sufficient to help those who struggle with significant anxiety. Our team is excited to offer an intensive outpatient treatment program that will support the needs of people who require additional treatment and care. Our team specializes in treating OCD and related disorders, specific phobias, social phobia, panic disorder and other anxiety-related disorders.
With a focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure and response prevention (ERP), our program offers the flexibility of scheduling and the benefit of individualized care. The first week of our intensive program is comprised of an extensive evaluation. New patients will meet with their psychologist for a full evaluation of their presenting concerns and will also be offered an evaluation with a staff psychiatrist. After the evaluation, patients will meet with their psychologist for treatment planning.
Once treatment begins, patients typically attend treatment for 2-3 hours per day, 4-5 days per week. Our staff has the ability to work around patient’s work and school schedules, ensuring that they can continue to live their lives while receiving the most effective treatment. Patients may have the opportunity to work with other individuals struggling with similar concerns, in addition to individual work with their psychologist. Treatment is primarily based in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which involves working with a psychologist to learn to face one’s fears. ERP takes place both on-site in our offices, as well as offsite at locations that might benefit the client’s treatment.
