Aided by her warmth and authenticity, Dr. KC Charette creates a professional environment where clients feel supported to share their experiences. She has years of experience in working with clients who have experienced a major life change, trauma, grief and/or loss and are experiencing adjustment difficulties, anxiety, and/or depression. She provides treatment for a range of psychological, relational and behavioral health concerns in individual treatment, as well as in couples and family therapy. She is genuine and warm and clients are empowered to navigate their experiences through therapy. She utilizes evidenced-based interventions, as well as incorporates holistic (wellness) approaches into treatment. While Dr. Charette provides services for a range of psychological concerns, she also brings prior experience of helping couples/families adjust to infertility, pregnancy, and parenthood and cope with postpartum depression/anxiety, to The Center for Treatment of Anxiety & Mood Disorders.
Dr. Charette earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University and her Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. The American Psychological Association (APA) is the highest level of accreditation for graduate training in psychology and Dr. Charette attended an APA-accredited graduate school and completed an APA-accredited internship. She was then selected to complete an additional, year-long APA-accredited residency specializing in trauma, anxiety & PTSD. Dr. Charette has provided professional psychological services in medical centers, hospitals, mental health centers, and on university campuses. In addition to her clinical work, she has provided clinical training, supervision, and consultation to Doctoral Interns & Doctoral Post-docs.
In addition to being part of The Center for Treatment of Anxiety & Mood Disorders, Dr. Charette also provides therapy services at a local university. She is licensed in Florida.
