Julee La Mott, Psy.D

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Julee La Mott is the Post Doctoral Fellow for the Trauma Program at the Center for the Treatment of Anxiety and Mood Disorders. She provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy for adolescents and adults. She is skilled at working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, grief and loss, eating disorders, recent trauma as well as complex trauma. Before joining the Center, Dr. La Mott gained experience by providing therapeutic services in various settings, including community mental health clinics, college counseling centers, medical settings, schools, and in-home services. Furthermore, she has experience conducting psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and psychological evaluations. Her vast professional experiences have prepared her to work with a myriad of clientele presenting at varying stages in their current struggle. She uses various treatment modalities to treat the unique needs of each client and places great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. Although trained to work with a multitude of presenting concerns, Dr. La Mott specializes in treating adolescents and adults healing from recent or past trauma and assists them with living wholeheartedly.


Dr. La Mott received her undergraduate degree majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology from Columbia University. She went on to earn her M.S. in Clinical Psychology and Psy.D in Community and Clinical Psychology from the University of La Verne. She completed her APA accredited predoctoral internship at the Faulk Center for Counseling. She was trained in neuropsychological assessment at the University of California, Irvine in the neuropsychiatric department. Dr. La Mott also trained in various settings focusing on the treatment of trauma, ranging from medical trauma to sexual trauma, utilizing a variety of evidence based therapies. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Research and actively involved in the development of research and publications focusing on the treatment of trauma.
