Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Claire Quigley, LCSW, specializes in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in the substance abuse population. She is passionate about working collaboratively with clients struggling with addiction to provide tools needed to regain a sense of self. In addition she has worked extensively with the families of substance users who have also been impacted by the disease of addiction. She has years of experience in working with clients who have experienced a major life trauma as well as difficulties with grief and loss. She provides individual treatment for a range of psychological and behavioral concerns. In addition she is a Certified Imago Relationship therapist using evidenced based techniques in helping couples move beyond the power struggles in order to have a deeply satisfying and committed relationship.
Ms. Quigley earned her BA in an Honors program in English Literature from the University of Maryland. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Catholic University of America. Ms. Quigley has provided therapy in both inpatient addiction treatment centers as well as serving as Clinical Director of Addiction Services in a long-term outpatient setting. She has conducted codependency groups for family members enabling them to learn about the disease of addiction as well as how the disease impacts the entire family. Through group counseling and psycho-education she helps each family member recover.
